Sports Day 2026 at Dr. C.G. English School was a vibrant celebration of energy, enthusiasm, teamwork and sportsmanship. The two-day sporting event began with a traditional Pooja, seeking blessings for a successful and memorable celebration. The spirit of the event was beautifully symbolised through the Flame Relay, which marked the beginning of the sporting festivities. The Sports Day was then officially declared open by our Principal Ma’am, inspiring students to participate with confidence, discipline and true sporting spirit. The opening ceremony set the perfect tone for two exciting days filled with competition, joy and togetherness.
The first day of Sports Day was dedicated to individual and category-wise games, where students from all four houses participated with great enthusiasm and represented their houses with pride. The events included Racing, Slow Cycling, Lemon and Spoon Race, Book Balance Race and other exciting individual activities. Each game tested different skills such as speed, balance, coordination, concentration and perseverance. The entire ground came alive with cheers and encouragement as students gave their best and enjoyed every moment of the competition. The participation of students from all four houses reflected their confidence, enthusiasm and willingness to challenge themselves.
Day 2 brought a new level of excitement with a series of team games, where teamwork, coordination, strategy and communication took centre stage. Students enthusiastically participated in Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Tug of War, Volleyball, Satolia and other team-based activities. The games created an energetic and cheerful atmosphere as students worked together, supported their teammates and proudly represented their respective houses. Beyond winning and losing, the team games helped students understand the importance of cooperation, leadership, discipline, mutual support and respect for others. Every match was filled with excitement, cheering and memorable moments.
The Sports Day celebration was not limited to the students; teachers also joined in the sporting spirit and enjoyed the games alongside them.
